Sex Scene Saturday: Mike and Mary

Missing in Paradise by Tilly Greene

When the love of Mike’s life breaks up with him abruptly, he doesn’t know where to turn. Mary is an emotional mess who reacts without thinking, and immediately regrets her decision. Making things right with Mike isn’t easy. It requires privacy to rebuild their love and share their lust. Neither expects their getaway to become a major news story.

The tattooed retired surfer and daytime TV star are opposites, yet perfect for each other. But paradise isn’t easy on them. Their bond will need to stand up to the strain of a public-relations nightmare if they have any hope of making it work.

Mistakes are made and they need privacy to fix things, but what about the media?

Sex Scene for the 18+ crowd

“Hey,” the casual one-word greeting startled her, but it was a large board and paddle dropping to the sand that made her jump. She looked up to see the man she’d been thinking about sit at her side. Encased in a full wetsuit, he rested his arms on bent knees as he checked out the waves.
Mary hadn’t a clue what to say or do to ease the tension between them. They’d been friends as kids, sweethearts in high school and finally lovers as adults. She didn’t want to lose him, but needed to think about what was best for her mental state.
Knowing an apology was necessary and actually giving one were two different things. She had no idea where to start, but knew simply saying sorry wouldn’t be nearly enough. Turning to look at him, she was struck by how handsome he was and her body responded to his sensual appeal. Didn’t her brain know it should be taking the lead right then, not her physical need for him? Apparently the two parts of her weren’t talking either and the pulse of desire beating in her pussy managed to rev up her hunger to be held by Mike again.
Had she said hello? She couldn’t remember saying anything and was shocked. Then again, it wasn’t a total surprise. Obviously Mike Kane robbed her of common sense. Looking at him closely, she soaked in every bit of flesh hidden away and left highlighted by the black rubber suit. Only his head, hands and feet were visible, and she felt compelled to wrap her arms and legs around him and never let go.
An onshore breeze helped the waves rise higher and delightfully rumpled his brown hair. She loved when it was in need of a cut. A little long so the strands curled a bit around the ears and neck. He’d probably rolled out of bed, put on the wetsuit and come out to paddle over the cold water. The man emoted sex and her need for his touch grew in strength. Her breath caught in the back of her throat when he turned and met her gaze. There was something there deep in the beautiful brown orbs that made her flinch, but they were connected. With the bond made, she was reminded of the last time they were intimate and wished they were making love instead of not talking to each other on the beach.
As if he read her mind, Mike suddenly held her as if he’d never let go and she was exactly where she wanted to be—held by him.
Momentum took them down to the sand where he held her hands on the sand by her head. Unable to manage a single word to either tell him yes or no, and it was definitely a yes, she gasped with pleasure when he threw a rubber-covered leg over hers. The move hadn’t been necessary because there was no chance she’d leave.
In a heartbeat, his lips pressed firmly against hers and all she knew was how much she wanted whatever he offered. What they shared was not soft or tender, but what passed between them was filled with turmoil of raw passion and emotions.
He opened his mouth, ran his tongue across the seam as if demanding entrance and hers opened, ready to be ravished. They circled and danced around each other, hungry for the link they’d shared before. Thankfully Mike couldn’t ignore her need for his possession. He teased her passion to the surface and promised fulfillment. At first the kiss they shared was packed with what she believed was desire and love, then denied lust rushed forward and wouldn’t be ignored.
It was pure coincidence that he’d come down to the beach to paddle and collect his thoughts before seeing Mary, only to find her calmly watching the dawn’s surfers. Everything he’d planned to say to her fled as blood pumped through his body. Mike inhaled deeply to try to gain stability, only he caught a whiff of her flowery scent and was lost. He reached out and took what he wanted. The woman he loved was in his arms, beneath him, and he showed her what they had together.
Mary arched her back, offering her body to him, and he took it with love and anger warring inside him. He was already on the verge of losing complete control when he realized she wasn’t wearing a bra. Pulling his lips from hers, he looked down at his hand on her breast, and tightened his hold. He watched the nipple pop out between his thumb and first finger. The hard tip was a delightfully wicked sight and reality slipped farther away. He wouldn’t ignore what was offered.
Leaning over, he placed his mouth over the tip poking against her shirt. She thrust her chest up further, pushing her breast against his face, and he knew he could take her right then. He pushed her desire closer to a breaking point by trapping an excited point between his teeth and tugging. Her screams of need echoed through his head and for a second wondered if they’d actually escaped their cocoon of pleasure. Mike didn’t know and didn’t care if she was past the point of restraining her desire for him. He had Mary where he wanted her, eager for him to take, and he was beyond ready.
The tenuous grip he had on his needs was lost when she shifted her leg to wrap around his waist. Lust exploded in him when his hard-on pushed against her responsive clit. Even though rubber separated them, she let out a gasp of pure pleasure that joined the gentle breeze washing over them and then he pulled her shirt up, revealing her bare breasts to the early morning light. Mike knew how sensitive they were, how much pleasure they both gained from his playing with them, and wasted no time in using the familiarity to release her pent-up passion.
“How could you walk away?” he whispered, and lavished the pleasure she begged for on her body. He rolled, sucked, teased and soothed her pierced nipple. Kissing his way across her chest, Mike feasted on the other. Opening his mouth over the entire soft-pink flesh, he closed it enough for her to feel the bite of his teeth.
“Please, Mike, I need to…”
She wanted to tell him it had been a mistake, that she hadn’t wanted to leave him, but had no words. There was too much passion ruling her body to let anything else enter the fray. She managed to show him how much he meant to her, how she never wanted to lose him, by sliding the fingers on her free hand through his hair and holding him close to her heart.
Lost in their need for each other, she focused entirely on him and them. He delightfully fed her desire for his touch and left her eager to taste the ultimate end. The orgasm he promised teased her lust and he fed it further by gnawing and sucking on her tender breast, preparing her for gratification. With his mouth and hands pushing her toward the brink of longing, her soul and heart remerged with her body and she was once again whole. There hadn’t been any doubt they were supposed to be together, but there had been in the longevity, which had scared her enough to leave. Mike was the only person in the world for her.
From the first time they’d made love, every caress from his fingertips, plunge of his cock, kiss they shared had been more vibrant and exciting than it had ever been before. He stroked her body and lavished attention on what gave her the most pleasure. There was more between them than the physical. He encouraged her to think positively about herself. On an average day, she felt good about her physical appearance and entrepreneurial skills, but they were magnified when she was with Mike. She could be naked, with her hands tied together and hanging from a hook in the ceiling for hours, and knew she was the most gorgeous woman he’d ever seen by how he looked at her. She needed to let him know how much she loved him and wanted to be with him.
Another seductive nudge from his wetsuit-covered cock, followed by another, brought more moisture to soak her panties. Lifting her hips a bit more to meet his next knock against her tender flesh fed the hunger to feel him inside her body. Frustration and denial were painful responses. Eager to fix things between them, she tried again to pull herself together enough to speak. There was an apology she had to give before they went any further. She didn’t want to climax with her phone call hovering unresolved between them. While the release would feel good, in reality coming before she’d made things right would make things worse. Then again, orgasms were wonderful and fulfilling experiences. The passionate explosions were a way to share their needs for each other.
No, Mary thought, and tried to hold back the hunger long enough to clear things between them. After she apologized, they would go to her place or his and get back to where they’d been before her stupid phone call.
Gathering her words to tell him she was sorry was difficult with her body under glorious assault. She was prepared to tell him how much she loved and needed him in her life, when he wrenched himself away from her quivering body.
“I don’t fucking care what other people think,” he rasped on a rough voice.

Smooches at the Drive-In is part of the Blisse Kisses with Heart

"Fuck, baby girl, your mouth is so warm and wet, there's only one other place my dick likes to be more and that's in your perfectly lush pussy." While he spoke, his finger slid over her cheek to her mouth, resting near her stretched lips.

After a moment, he put his hands beneath her arms and pulled her up until her lips rested against his. The man could kiss a saint and bring them to orgasm. He licked along the partially opened seam her panting mouth presented, and finally teased the tip inside for short forays, tempting her to shatter.

Only it wasn't enough.

Not by half.

She shifted and wrapped her arms around his neck, pulling him even closer. Deepening their kiss, tangling her tongue with his, she was desperate to have him and didn't keep this information to herself. There was no holding back a smile of victory when he pulled away and she finally realized how close he was to cracking. This was where she wanted him so she could push just enough to have the words she needed him to say spill from his beautiful mouth.

"Straddle me."

They may not have been exactly what she wanted to hear, but they worked magic on her all the same.

Tilly Greene kicks off the Perfect Gift is a Book Event and Contest

We have friends whose grandkids [from 3 to 6 yo] who come to their house a couple times a week and they're hosting an annual Christmas party, so we need a hostess gift - a book. I think the perfect gift for them this year would be a book they’ll keep, love and read every year with their grandkids, is one that possesses wonderful illustrations that feeds the little ones imaginations and pop-ups! I happen to love pop-ups and often think of which one would suit kids I know.  And with all that said, I've decided we’ll be giving them The Night Before Christmas by Clement Clarke Moore and illustrated/paper engineered by Niroot Puttapipat.

Moon Over Paradise went to...

Moon Over Paradise by Tom Brown
Love this little gem of a painting.  When I first saw it, besides reminding me of Missing in Paradise which had just been released, it brought to mind many nocturnal happenings that take place beneath a moon which make us happy, and hopefully Sweet Vernal Zephyr will be just as inspired.

Congrats, darlin', and enjoy!

Thank you all for entering - I had fun doing this contest and, if I find another painting inspiring and want to share, I'll definitely do this again.

I Did a Bad Bad Thing and it led to Contest Time!

Moon Over Paradise by Tom Brown

Missing in Paradise, a contemporary erotic romance with some bondage, is my most recent release and it happens to be set in an area I know really well - the Southern California coastline.  That's where I was born and grew up, and still visit a couple of times a year.

One of the more unique qualities to my home town is that it was known back in the day and still is as a artists' colony.  What does that mean?  On any given day you can walk down to the beach and see an artist painting.  Trust me when I say creativity, whatever way it might be expressed, was never discouraged.

Something I took away from this outlook on life is the ability to embrace the joy a painting can offer.  It doesn't have to be big, ornate or expensive, however, what it does is open a window for the viewer to travel through - much like a writer does with words.

So, with that in mind, this little jewel* of a painting, picked because I enjoy Tom Brown's work, loved it in particular and the subject matter/title - Moon Over Paradise - reminded me of Missing in Paradise, is the prize and all you have to do is tell me what the month/date your birthday is - yes, it's that simple!

You have 9 days [through September 18th] to either comment here [ensuring an email addy I can contact you at is present] or email me the month and date of your birth.

And, yes, this contest is open to those who live abroad as well!

Have fun and fingers crossed you get a bit of paradise :-)

*=Brown defines the piece thusly: "Paintings this size are known by various names such as miniatures, ACEOs (Art Cards Editions and Originals), postcard paintings or pocket paintings. And they are highly collectible. This painting is a mere 4”x3”. It can be displayed in an elegant frame, and yet it is small enough to fit in your pocket or use as a one-of-a-kind bookmark. It is painted with genuine oil paints on an art card and will be shipped in a plastic protective sleeve."

Excerpt

Mary Miller breathed deeply of the fresh salty air as she sat on the beach and watched Mother Nature do her thing. Waves crashed with a roar, rushed onto shore only to disintegrate and return to the ocean with a gentle swishing sound. The motion was a constant, predictable and yet never the same. She didn’t know when it happened, but at some point the beach had become an example of what she wanted out of life. No sharp edges or harsh points to cause pain throughout a unique journey.

The peacefulness of the beach at dawn eased into her pores and pushed out the tension. A slight breeze carried ocean spray to her uplifted face. There was only one blotch on her otherwise wonderful life. Mike Kane, the man she loved and had broken up with before he eventually walked out on her. They were great together and she’d wanted forever with him, except she knew they wouldn’t last that long. Leaving before she was left had been her solution for self-preservation. Unfortunately, she’d handled it all wrong and had only herself to blame.

Sipping her coffee, she watched a surfer ride a wave in with a variety of moves, before turning back over the crest and heading out for more. Maybe it was relaxing on the beach or watching surfers tackle the waves, but he was there in her head. She needed to figure out what to do next. As for the decision to leave first, she knew ending their time together hadn’t been right from the beginning, but had done it anyway and regretted it ever since.

“Hey,” the casual one word greeting startled her, but it was a large board and paddle dropping to the sand that made her jump. She looked up to see the man she’d been thinking about sit at her side. Encased in a full wetsuit, he rested his arms on bent knees as he checked out the waves.

What a Surfer Treasures

My BIL surfs and stand up paddle boards, and he collects surfboards like I do books.  He goes on surfing holidays, reads surfing magazines, and would thoroughly enjoy riding a board by Roy Stewart, a master craftsman from his home country of New Zealand.

One board called The Baron, 12 foot long and 27 inches wide, weighs 45 pounds, costs $528,000 and is gorgeous!

I know Mike Kane, the hero of Missing in Paradise [September 7th at Ellora's Cave], would love to take this baby out for a long ride.

An Easy Craft Project

Here it goes - I have a jewelry box filled with lovely baubles and also a multitude of smaller boxes, placed tidily in two different rooms filled with treasures from the past I want to keep, but not necessarily wear, although I might want to for fun.

How can I see what I have and actually wear them, not just leave them to reside in boxes?

I need to find a rack. yes, a garden rack - preferably an old rusted out one with character.

This interesting hint for repurposing an item was found in an article called DIY Decor Inspiration: 14 Eco Crafts for the Home found on Web Ecoist.  I found the site while researching Missing in Paradise [September 7th at Ellora's Cave], where the heroine, Mary Miller, professional monikers are the Queen of Green and the Guru of Reuse.

A few hints that I enjoyed are passed on in the book, but not this one.

What's on my mind today...

Because of a notorious murder in my family back in the twenties, I've known about Elizabeth Short's, The Black Dahlia, unsolved case for most of my life and still think about it.

She was a young woman, brutally killed, mutilated and her body dumped in a public setting.  As if that wasn't bad enough, it was further sensationalized by the media to the extent no one knew what was real and was pure conjecture, and her killer has never been found.

For some reason I'll often think about Short when a horrific crime or young woman is labeled as missing occurrs in Southern California.

The Black Dahlia is mentioned for this very reason in Missing in Paradise [releasing September 7]:

"Screw scandal, I hope she doesn’t wash up on the beach or become the modern day Black Dahlia."
It's interesting to see up close how various events throughout our lives play out later. Who knew reading about Short's murder as a child would be in my head when I wrote as an adult about a young woman who goes missing - I certainly didn't.

Everyone Loves a Skull

I've talked here on the blog about tattoos and briefly on piercings in a few of my books, but Missing in Paradise is where the two intermingle and join forces.

The hero, Mike Kane, has quite a few tats, all of which depict various events in his life.  There's a 3D tattoo of a wound being stiched back together, a shark in the tribal style and then there are a few skeletons mentioned.  While a skull tattoo generally represents a big change in life through it's link with death, the more common association taken today is with danger and fear.  The former is more how Mike views them

Meanwhile the heroine, Mary Miller, chose her particular piercings for personal enjoyment and, even though she has a job in the public's eye, she words hard to keep them private.  They're for her pleasure and whomever she wants to share them with, and not fodder for the gossip mills.  It was an interesting turn to have her deciding to change her jewelry to reflect changes she was undertaking to live a more fulfilling life.

The fun part of working with tattoos and piercings, these in particular, is creating unique pieces specific to the characters involved.  If I could draw them, I would, but I can't and so did that with words.

Missing in Paradise, a contemporary erotic romance with bondage, will be released at Ellora's Cave on September 7th.

An Unknown Delightful Connection

I recently handed in the edits for Missing in Paradise to my editor at Ellora's Cave and had a wonderful surprise when I stepped out of the edit cave. The locations of this novella are that it takes place mainly in Malibu with brief stops in Hollywood, LA and NYC. The hero is a professional surfer forced to retire after a shark attack, and the heroine hosts a tv show highlighting ideas for reusing things. They are lovers who hit a rough patch on their way to forever or it's over. Missing in Paradise is a contemporary erotic romance with a bit of bondage - hmmm, bondage on the beach...nice!

That's one side of the connection, now let me back track for the other.

There are so many great blogs that offer interesting stuff on and about books, ebooks, and publishing industry, to name a few, and I subscribe to them. Sometimes a week or more will go by and I haven't had time to check them out, but when I do, boy do I get lost in the wealth of interesting information.

Ok, so I had a bit of free time, and started to delve into the treasure trove of good book stuff when I found a connection to Missing in Paradise I hadn't know about, and it was utterly delightful! I thought I had unearthed a great deal of interesting information about a particular person during my research, but it looked like I missed one of the most important bits.

Agatha Christie was a surfer!

Agatha Christie with Surfboard from
Guardian article Museum of British Surfing/SWNS.com

I kid you not and you can read about it on the British Guardian newspaper site.

How fun is that?!? I knew the woman was fabulous and unique.

And there you have it, an unknown delightful connection between Agatha Christie and my hero in Missing in Paradise, a book she inspired and plays a small role in - coolness!

A Small Snippet About Tattoos

My Angel, New Zealand, and Dragon Lust [a seriously naughty free read from All Romance] are three books of mine where the heroes have tattooes.  I've also mentioned before about the hero in Missing in Paradise has tattoos and thought I'd share a bit more about ink.  The ones I mention the hero having are very personal to him and are unique in style.

That's right, if you don't know much about the ink, then I'll tell you there are many different styles in how they're drawn.  I recently stumbled across Venus [above] and tracked it back to the original Washington Post article, Thinking of Inking?, where you can run your mouse over the examples and read where they came from, as well as other images of how they work to how to take them off.  Very interesting.

One I didn't find any information mentioned, but unearthed during my research, I used in Missing in Paradise was a 3D style - an example of which is to the left.  I was intrigued by this type of tattoo and redesigned it for my hero who has it in a place that covers something up, cool, right?

Shall We Surf?

Since Missing in Paradise is in front of me and the hero is a surfer, I thought I'd share some Hump Day Inspiration in the form of fitness model Eric Carlson with a surfboard - nice!

Are you up for it? Can you go two months without buying anything "new"?  I'll be posting mainly on Facebook [this is the main me] because that's where I was challenge, but anything big [using my free card or actually crafting something] I'll share here as well.

One of the reasons I accepted this challenge we're in the midst of Fashionmania otherwise known as award season, oh, and because of the heroine in Missing in Paradise. Why? She just so happens to be the reuse guru - love the oddity of timing :-)

The cute dress above, made from phonebooks, was designed by Jolis Paons and posted on Crafty Crafty.  They have an entire section devoted to recycled fashion - fascinating stuff.

Hump Day Reflections

I'm finishing off Missing in Paradise where the hero is a pro-surfer who retired after a shark attack and possesses some rather unique tattoos.  He has a wicked bad boy reputation who was caught by the press in a few naughty interludes.  While those happened in the past, everyone knows him to be the same person he was before, a down-to-earth guy who happens to really enjoy sex.  However, time has moved on, and the sex is best with the heroine who inadvertently turns his world upside down with a phone call.

This photo of Adam Levine of Maroon 5 by Ben Riggott [found on Homotography but featured in the UK's Cosmopolitan] reminded me of my guy.

As for the heroine, she's has no match, really, but if I had to try and find one it would sort of be Martha Stewart + Pink + Heather Locklear + a dash more of individuality.  Told you, not really like anyone else, but she is the perfect match for the hero.

Ralph Lauren is King

I've been a fan of Ralph Lauren clothes, even though many carry the polo logo - which I can't stand, for many many years.  Here's a little memory nuggest to share with you guys.

Back in the day I was a fan of punk music and I attended a concerts with friends almost every Friday night wearing my hot pink Ralph Lauren shorts, white man's dress shirt, and old men's golfing cardigans [and naughty pins decorating it] with a pair of painted Keds [should pick that up again, it was a fun way to express my fashion tastes]. Rather clean cut sounding for a punk concert, but the earring were what really finished it all off. My favorite at the time was a fishing hook with a rubber frog dangling down to my shoulder or a pair of rubber spiders. Still have all of them, although I'm not sure why.

Where did that all come from?

Ralph Lauren has a pair of cuff links, skulls with great top hats, that I adore and it just so happens the hero of Missing in Paradise might wear them on a special night out. You see, he is a huge fan of skulls and skeleton ink, so why wouldn't he wear them on a shirt for a special night out?

Wait until you read where the heroine wears skulls - it's all fun!

Anyway, Dior and Alexandre McQueen were two other high fashion designers who went macabre recently, and did it very well.
