Naughty Thought for Monday goes rubber!

Condoms actually.

I saw this psa type ad a few weeks ago and with all The Avengers movie superhero chatter going on, I'm finding it hard to not project this image onto those characters.

Can you see the Incredible Hulk seeking a suitable condom?

Tricky, but everyone needs protection...even superheroes!

The Greene's are getting their lab coats on and experimenting!

This weekend we are getting down to work and shall figure out the recipe for a Lapu Lapu!  There are conflicting recipes and we're going to try them, see which tastes right, and then sit down to drink a toast to the passing of our beloved Royal Hawaiian - in business since 1947, so yes, it was a town institution!

One recipe, from Disneyland [close but inland and for the visiting masses], is:  2 parts Myer's Dark Rum, 2 parts pineapple juice, 3 parts orange juice, 1 part sweet and sour mix, and topped off with 1 part Bacardi 151 rum floated on top.
The other is from cats big boy at Tiki Central and [sounds really close, but I'm not sure of the "almond" bit so we'll try it and see] consists of:
  • A full glass of shaved ice.
  • A splash of simple syrup. (Available at "Smart and Final")
  • A splash of orgeat syrup (gives it that almond flavor). It can also be purchased at Smart and Final. Amaretto is a nice substitution.
  • A splash of passion fruit syrup(this is what makes it different from a mai tai). Usually available at Smart and Final or The Liquor Barn.
  • light rum. Probably around 2 shots in a brandy sniffer sized glass.
  • A mixture of 60% pineapple juice, 40% orange juice.
  • A floater of dark rum. Myers is not dark enough. Use either "Whalers" (sold at Trader Joe's) or "Trader Vic's"
Those both sound/read good, but I'm placing my faith in the third which is from Great Taste Magazine - a mag which originates in a town just up the coast so proximity makes me think it's in the know - and is:

2 ounces Myers Light Rum
Equal Parts: Fresh Orange Juice, Pineapple Juice and Passion Fruit Juice
1.5 ounces Floater of Dark Rum

Made in a large snifter over crushed ice

Wish us luck and get your tiki on!

Inspirational Share on Hump Day

I'm thinking about my soon to be released book, Come Back in specific and the series in general, and thought since it's Wednesday I'd share where my head was at for the hero(es).

There's no particular reason my reference pics of these men are all b/w, I know what they look like in color and yet the lack thereof does suit the Come series.

Have I mentioned the series is an erotic romance about a trio of shapeshifters?

Thinking about how these pics fit together?  Not to worry, I'll share more details once I have cover(s).

Meanwhile, they are inspiring :-)

Naughty Thought for Monday

You never know what goes on in the oven when the lights are out, but it looks like maybe a bit more than cooking is happening!

Summers around the corner, don't forget to wear a hat and lather yourself with sunscreen :-)

The Keeper by Tilly Greene is out now and FREE! http://bit.ly/HLMSCY

The Keeper by Tilly Greene
Paranormal Erotica + Pleasure/Pain and Exhibitionism

Thora, an elfin woman, has a plan to get her creativity back on track and it involves Mother Nature. To be happy and content, she needs to re-establish their connection and then her artistic energy will once again flow with ease, putting her back in her happy place. Driving home she passes through Fortunes Forest and stops for a walk, only she ends up with so much more. She never expected communing with Mother Nature would turn into a delightfully thorny interlude with a stranger she discovers is also a keeper.

Pleasurable pain changes her needs and dreams, but what about the stranger who takes her?

Excerpt

Thora, a normally strong-willed independent elfin woman, feared her heart would burst from her chest. Already the organ pumped faster and harder than it ever had before. The situation she found herself in had changed for the worse. All she could hear was the speedy hammering of the muscle in her chest.

Shifting from one foot to the other immediately brought more pain, clouding her mind to everything but what happened to her body. The very real terror she experienced now felt unlike anything she’d ever encountered before, and she wasn’t sure she’d survive. Tears filled with hurt and frustration formed in her eyes, and threatened to spill at any moment. Mentally she chastised herself for taking the detour through the forest instead heading straight home. The view from her car window had been beautiful, soothing, and seemed to invite her to spend more time in the tranquil space.

Unfortunately for her, all the beauty had turned into a nightmare—a living, breathing, intoxicating nightmare.
* * * *

The day had started out normally. Work, work, and—oh yes—more work. Being a secretary in a major elfin corporation involved in projects across the planets could be interesting, but not that day. No, it had been filled with annoying phone calls and tedious paperwork. Breakfast had been a banana sliced over a bowl of granola and wheat germ, and a cucumber and beet salad at her desk for lunch. Neither offered much excitement, but they had given her energy to get on with things.

By the end of her time behind the desk, she needed to relax and find a peaceful place where her imagination and dreams could flourish, and only after that happened could she enjoy the weekend. Those two days belonged to her and she had planned to spend them locked in her true passion—painting. With that aspiration in mind, she was thankful one of the ways home led past Fortunes Forest. When she spotted a layby, she pulled over, stepped onto the pebbled verge, and walked in search of inspiration.

What made her current predicament so horrible was that she’d found a brief glimpse of her little personal spot of heaven, and then it was gone.

A few minutes ago she’d traipsed across a velvet soft, mossy hillock, thinking about how it felt—as if she walked on cool clouds. Ancient limbs, heavy with foliage, waved gently overhead. They whistled softly in the breeze and allowed small trickles of sunlight to drip through their boughs, lighting her way.

Everything had been lovely, idyllic, and yet it turned even more beautiful the moment she stepped into a clearing with an enticing, crisp little pond at its center. In less than a second, she stripped down to her skin and dipped beneath its smooth surface. There was nothing wrong with skinny dipping other than it played into a feeling of being naughty, she was an elfin adult and elfin’s were all sorts of wicked. Once her body finished fleshing out, her ears had found their final form, and she thought they had a delightful shape.

If only she could run a finger along them, she’d surely calm down and find a way out of this mess.

Practical does not always mean its going to be big

The weather is hinting at getting warmer and I'm thinking of bbqing and picnics.  When someone says how should I dress for the occassion, it most definitely won't be these Pic Nic pants from Acquacalda.

Why?

Think of getting up and walking to the table for seconds with this permanent napkin hanging between your legs - think MC Hammer pants!

No thank you, not for me but it is an intersting idea.

Funky Fashion Part IV - again!

It was the 10th Annual Dressed to Kilt fashion show: From Scotland with Love on Monday and in celebration, I simply had to bring out one of my favorite tartan pieces of attire.

They're a good laugh!

Blog originally posted April 16, 2009

This past week I received some fabulous news, Highland Heat will soon be released in paperback - woohoo! As you can guess, my mind right back to Scotland and, well, I forgot I had this gem in my files.

There's still a nip in the air, do you need something to keep your nipples warm? These tartan pasties can be had through Etsy, along with a cute knitted set.

Hump Day Hottie is all about the hair, well, mostly about the hair

There are times when my hair is having a bad day and then there are weeks, no, months when it's just not working for me.  Well, I'm working on months and because I'm not happy with my hair, I noticed this man's hair looked coolishly different - almost like its on fire - before I realized he was hot as well.

Sorry about that Clark Mallon as taken by Dimitris Theocharis and found on Homotography.

Where my interest in Russia started is in a book...sort of

Aha oe feii? (Are You Jealous?) by Paul Gauguin
The Pushkin Museum, Moscow
Actually it started with an art exhibit at which I bought the accompanying book and my interst in Russia spiraled out from there.

In the eighties Russia agreed to loan art housed in The Hermitage and Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts that hadn't been seen in decades.  Our local museum was one of the locations that the Impressionism and Post-Impressionism work was shown alongside works from the National Gallery of Art, Washington.

I gained two things from this visit that are still with me today.

One is my love for the impressionists.  There is something about the colors and various styles that I find quite calming.  Monet, Manet, Degas and others I knew, could even recognize their work, but I discovered new pieces from each of these as well as Vuillard, Bonnard and Utrillo at this show.  My pleasure found in art was expanded.

The second thing I gained from the show was an interest in Russia itself.  Up to that point and for some time afterwards there was limited information to be discovered and that made me even hungrier.  In the end, it was one of the subjects I studied at University and even there I found limitations.  Its hard to believe such a large country managed to keep a tight hold on its borders and they've only been opened for a little over 20 years.

By the way, when I say Russia, I mean pre-Soviet time.  My studies and interest stops at 1917, however, the Come trilogy is set in contemporary times and the Ivanovich brothers have been living in America since they were ten and younger.

Feeling poorly?

Need a hot water bottle and some chicken noodle soup to feel better?

Fine, how about this cover for your ugly but useful heat source?

Sorry, I say no thank you, but to each there own.
