Hump Day Reflections!

Susan sat back in a big black leather, watching the parade of young studs pass by, trying to tempt her to pick them. Occassionally her interest was peaked by a particularly fine ass, a serious set of abs, or smooth chocolate flesh. They were all handsome, strong, and tempting men, how could she possibly choose just one? Maybe two, or three would be an even better option. Half way through the line and she was feeling, well, she was feeling them all, each sexy hunk, down there, between her legs.

The pulsating need had to be put to the side, for the time being at least. Right now she needed to be cold, practical, level-headed and emotionally distant from them all. It was only sex after all.

Then, out of the corner of her eyes, she saw him. Sitting up a little straighter, her gaze moved beyond those strutting slowly in front of her, tracing down the line of men to one just out of range. Susan didn't want to wait for him to make his way before, she wanted to see more and leaned forward to take all of him in as he came closer.

Completely nude, not too muscular but fit and tight, he walked with a catlike grace, with his big pendulous cock and balls swinging with confidence between his toned legs. She was tempted to reach out and stroke the smooth tool to see it fully erect. Oh, he was good, perfect in fact, but she had to hear him say something before she made her choice. Once he was standing almost directly in front of her, Susan put on her best lustful leer, lifted a perfect eyebrow and started in.

"Hey there, Stud, you know how to use that fine looking club or does it prefer to hang around instead?"

"What, this?" He reached down, grabbed hold of the hard rod and started to easily rub his hand up and down the long length. With the third stroke, the cock stood firm and impressive all on it's own.

Her mouth dropped open of its own volition, only just managing to stop the drool from spilling. Shit, this was exactly what she was looking for.

"Very nice, you get hard this easily for all the ladies?"

"No, just the one's hiring for a condom commercial. I'm gay."

Naughty Thought for Monday!

Brave, and after a few lessons I'd try it at least once?

Or

Are you crazy? I'm not getting naked on a motorbike!

Or

Someone who'd do this is someone I'd want to do.

Oh boy, here we go...

our little town is flooding.

The driveway is pooling at the bottom and the cellar is spouting water from the walls into a bucket, and not a sieve this time [I double checked]. In town the sandbags are out and the road going beside the Museum ending at Main Street has now been officially closed and the barriers up for the end of our street. The cutie went in, got a cuppa tea and had a little gossip for the latest...not good is the consensus.

At least we were able to get the German student around to see a bit of the City yesterday, now our fingers are crossed his flight goes, otherwise we're heading to the airport to pick him and bring him here.

Update on Sunday night: Really not good at all. The weir has disappeared and the river is flowing fast and furiously around here [you can't see the bottom run of the fence off to the right of the picture]. For now, it looks like the Museum and a restaurant on the other side of the bridge are the worst off, but we'll go down to the tea shop for a cuppa in the morning. Hopefully no more businesses suffer - town is only one block long so we'll miss even one place!

Update on Monday morning: Wow, it was pretty bad.

We went in to town for a hot drink and found a duck floating down the street. Once we saw how furiously the water was flowing, we understood he wanted a better, safer, ride. A few of the other bridges are out and houses on the river itself are really feeling it. Guess the freaky moment was the snow we are randomly hit with.

Hmmm...

Is Antonio Banderas the Nasonex bee?

Thursday 13 - #5!

I have a problem with using public restrooms...and it was there long before I saw Trainspotting! However, I have been in a few that were interesting to say the least. Had to pay for toilet paper in Lisbon - men and women in the same facility [yes, I was desperate!] and one in India where a lady offered to help [NO, thank you!]. On the other hand there's the one in Osmotherly that formally and proudly notes the Queen visited there, the gorgeous art nuveau restroom upstairs at Angelina's, oh, and one that made it into 'Taming Marie Antoinette' but I'll save that for another day. Anyway, I got to thinking, are there any interesting restrooms out there? Someplace you won't mind going into? Well, as you can imagine, I thought not, so eventually I narrowed this search down to urinals...unique urinals and 2 restrooms [see, women really don't have good options].

Beautiful flowers sculpted by Clark Sorenson

Want to be measured, photographed or oogled, while you go? Then this is the place for you.

Here you pick your station by your, um, size...but what if you don't know the metric system?

Want some help finishing, then the Shakutron is for you.

Hmm, rather beautiful and irreverant in Spain.

Floating around on the International Space Station? Here's your facilities. All I can say is, if a man can't make it into a traditional loo on earth, how is he supposed to make it in this tiny cup while moving on average 17239.2 miles an hour through space?

Pick your horse by the stall, or your urinal by your horse, at a loo in Alberta Canada.

Smile, you're on candid camera!

Interesting and elegant spoons sculpted by Phillip Walls.

Well, how to freak out a tourist, point them to a randomly appearing public restroom.

Best view of Hong Kong is from the men's room at The Felix.

At least you won't miss your flight from this restroom in Stockhold Arlanda Airport in Stockholm.

Okay, the freakiest is last...a glass box in the middle of a pedestrian thoroghfare. Step in and go! Would you truly believe no one could see in while you can see out so perfectly?

Just in case you didn't know...

The Stanley Cup playoffs have started!

Go Devil's!

This year it isn't so much a guarantee as when Scott Stevens was the captain, but I'm still hoping they'll pull it off. Marty Bordeur helps the confidence levels greatly.

Hopefully I'll find it somewhere on the tv here.

Hump Day Reflections!

Enticement

She was walking towards him, hips swaying seductively, elegant hands stroking along her thighs, and he wanted. His dick hardened further as her dress, soft and fluid like water, slipped and slinked around her lush feminine form. The top covered her full and ripe breasts, at the same time allowed them to bounce freely beneath the covering. His eyes were drawn to nipples pebbled with excitement. He was immediately enticed to run his hands up her smooth thighs, pulling the silk dress up until she was completely bare. It didn't matter that they were out in public, he wanted and wouldn't be denied. Standing up, he ignored the hard-on tenting his pants and stepped forward to meet her. Using his hands on her ass, he pulled her close, prodding her with his cock and kissed her with all the lust roiling through him. The red satin was cool to the touch but he could feel the heat of her body just beneath the surface. Oh yes, she wanted too.

A bit of random ridiculousness...

Whenever I go on a trip I take shorts and t-shirt to sleep in. There's a hotel in Sheffield we frequent and they always seem to have fire alarms going off [yes, I've been both asleep and in the tub when this has happened]. Personally I think I've shown enough to the local fire department, hotel staff and random visitors to last a lifetime.

Susan asked and I love it!

This is the painting I bought off eBay! It reminds me of driving away from home, out through the canyon. Although I haven't done it yet, it will eventually have a gold frame.

Thursday 13 - #4!

Here are 13 things I've never done before that I did in the past 3 months.

1. Bought a painting through eBay - I love it.

2. Made corn chowder and it was good [gasp!].

3. Spent the better part of a two weeks on a hunt for the best hot chocolate I could find.

4. Had blini's [including salmon and cavier - I never eat anything from the sea, but it would have been rude to decline - blech!] and Kir Royal [nice :-)].

5. Started to learn German.

6. Bought boy's socks because they were nicer than the women's.

7. Drove 80mph past a police car [with police in it] and didn't get a ticket!

8. Subscribed to a serial graphic novel.

9. Figured out RSS and am now addicted to Bloglines.

10. Organized a surprise party and it stayed a surprise - it's this Friday so while this is still true now, it may not be then.

11. Gave an older man I didn't know a hug. He was working so hard and everyone around him was complaining loudly how he wasn't fast enough.

12. Started to watch the Soprano's and love it...only thing is, this is the last season. Thank goodness for DVD's.

13. Ate a box of Girl Scout Thin Mints...oops, I'm sure I've done that before, but since I can't remember I'm counting it!

Hump Day Reflections!

It's that time of year, Spring, when people's minds turn to chocolate and bunnies. Chocolate is an aphrodisiac, gets the lust machine revving and then, it can't be helped, our bunny-like instincts kick in to high gear.

Having finished showering, she put on her robe and made her way to the kitchen to make a cup of coffee. And there she found him.

Head in the opened fridge, no shirt, old jeans on and bare feet spread out while he searched the for something to eat. They'd just spent the morning indulging their passion for each other, and now she felt like she hadn't touched him, held him, loved him, in a thousand years. She was always tempted by him but the way her heart raced, she knew in an instant that she'd have him...right there.

Walking up to him on silent feet, she laid a hand on his ass. Immediately he looked over his shoulder and saw who it was. Before he could say anything she slid her hand between his legs, dragging the heel of it along the seam as the fingers smoothed up to cup his dick. Once she'd coverd the fierce tool, she felt it jump and smiled. He'd be her's in a minute.

Stepping closer so she could lay her body over his and lay teasing moist kisses down his spine while she used her thumb and first finger to slowly, carefully trace his hardening cock. She wanted to feel every inch of the powerful piece of flesh.

"Harder baby, squeeze me hard." His voice was gruff and full of need, she liked that.

"Like this?" She pressed his rod a little harder but knew it wasn't as much as he wanted.

He lasted less than a minute before turning around and taking control. Not bothering to shut the refrigerator door, he merely unbuttoned his jeans, shifted them down enough to release his cock and pressed her up against the counter. Using needy hands he moved enough of her robe. With her help he lifted her up so he could get inside her.

Ready and eager, in one smooth move he easily moved into the furthest reaches of her pussy. He knocked against her cervix and scraped along the walls on his way back out. Again and again, he thrust in and out of her, driving moans of pleasure and lust from her belly.

"Oh yes! Faster, faster." Holding her legs up around his hips, she was complete as he jackhammered in and out of her until she screamed and her climax burst around his plunging cock. He wasn't far behind her and she felt glory in feeling him swell and shoot his seed inside her welcoming warmth.

Unimagined passion controlled them both as they fucked wildly around the kitchen, the stairs, back to the bed, the bathroom. Their morning, afternoon and late into the night, they indulged themselves. When they weren't fucking, they curled around each other and rested for the next round.

Thursday 13 - #3!

A Passion for Fashion and Bondage is the name of a series I've been writing lately. The first is "The Leather Bride", due out in May from Phaze, the second is "Taming Marie Antoinette", where I delve further into the world of fashion.

Oh, yes, I love fashion in all its manifestations, even though I'm usually found in shorts, t-shirt and thongs [and never wear heels]. A little secret between you and me...I was in school to be a designer until I was found out to be a fraud. No problem doing everything except sewing...apparently I suck at it big time. Nevermind, I found another calling but am still addicted to fashion.

Haute couture, high fashion, is a select club opened to extremely talented and creative French designers [although the who started this movement was an Englishman, Charles Worth with the House of Worth, in the 1850's] and a few honorary members. For me, the pieces they produce are art...designed and constructed by artisians who will sometimes spend hundreds of hours on a single garment. And, most notable of all, most of the workmanship is done by hand! Here are my favorite 13 haute couture pieces from the Spring 2007 collection of John Galiano for Christian Dior. These are pieces of art.

Wow, did I not say they were incredible?!?

Hump Day Reflections!

Is a tattoo art or a sign someone is "bad"?

There is a long history for tattoos, going back more than 5000 years. They were marks that defined a person: religion, tribe, status, and much more was reflected in the tattoo. With Christianity came the decline of tribal tattoos. There were other markers in history, but in modern time, a decline started with the depression. One of the final straws to break in the acceptance of tattoos was with the rise of juvenile deliquint and biker gang violence. It was taboo to have a tattoo, only criminals had them.

Today the tide has turned again in the art forms favor. There are even popular shows on television based around tattoo shops. Now, many people have them, from housewives to grandparents. One that has always held my attention is the mascectomy patients who choose to get a tattoo where their breast used to be. Some tats mark a specific point in the persons life, others a statement, either way, they have become more mainstream and acceptable.

But are they beautiful? Erotic?

I think it's all in the eyes of the beholder.

They were finally moving quickly along the path he'd wanted all along. She was almost naked, in his arms and beneath his mouth. One last item of clothing separated from what he wanted to possess. For months she's been teasing him, tempting him to pull on the leash he'd unwillingly doned because he wanted so badly.

Slowly, confidently, he worked on releasing the small buttons, laying kisses over the exposed flesh as it appeared. From between her legs, he felt he'd finally had control of the situation, then, with three buttons to go, she called a halt. Sitting up she moved away from, seemed to curl into herself and away from him.

"What? Why pull away."

"I need to..."

"What, what do you need and I'll give it to you. Anything!"

She looked at him with guarded eyes. Was she still not sure of him? When she stood up and walked away, he was ready to put his clothes back on and leave, give them both space before he did or said something wrong. Out of the corner of his eye he saw a movement of white. Looking over he saw her working on the shirt buttons herself and, after a quick glance over her shoulder, let the top drop to the floor.

Upon seeing her bare back, he stood up and walked over for a closer look. A tattooed vine delicately traced and swirled around her spine. There were flowers dangling from a random branches. It was a thing of beauty, and yet this must be why she was hesitant to take the next step in their relationship.

"Are you ashamed of your tattoo?"

"No, I chose and love it. When I was younger I had a curvature of the spine and went through a great deal of pain and hard work to straighten it out. When the braces were finally relegated to the trash, I went out and got this vine. It was my way of reclaiming control of my body, my back."

The power radiating off her was an intense emotion that raced through him and firmed up the hold she had on his heart. He moved closer and pressed his lips to the first rose, then another and another. When he came upon a dangling heart, with his initials noted inside, he lost control of the situation. There was no waiting a moment longer, he needed to be in her, a part of her power so clearly painted along her back. Rushing her to the floor, on her hands and knees, he gave her the words clouding his mind.

"Sorry, must have you, fuck you...love you." He grunted and pressed for pleasure while never taking his eyes from her decoated spine.

"Take me!" She called as he thrust inside her welcoming embrace. "Love me!" She screamed as he possessed her body, heart and soul.

If you're curious for more about body art, I've written two books with two different approaches to body art. One permanent, the other not, but they are both have the same focus for the reader: arouse, tilliate, bring the lust forward on route to a happy-ever-after.

'The Painted Lady' and 'Dragon Lust'

Sniff, sniff...you look so young!

That's right, studies have shown that wearing pink grapefruit scent makes others believe you're younger than you are :-)

Personally, my upbringing has instilled in me a belief that I am as old as I feel, not what a number says. In the end, none of it matters. That being said, I love the smell of pink grapefruit...especially in spring and summer. Already I have a few candles to light and body wash to lather myself...lovely!

Publisher wants real men...

on their covers!

Harlequin held a casting call in Toronto for real men to come in and try out to pose for their covers.

"We're looking for some guys that are not your usual models, but have that iconic look that women go for -- sexy, sensitive, beautiful and fit," said Harlequin spokeswoman Marleah Stout, who attended the open casting.

Readers complained about how the cover models didn't represent the characters inside the books. The professional models were seen as too young and "slight", readers want their "men a little bit older, a bit bigger, than the runway models."

Hmmm, I'm not so sure I agree with this, but maybe their thinking of going over to the dark side and offering a more sensual cover. As for me, I wonder if readers will notice a difference between the previously used models and the "real men".

Either way, its good to see a big wheel making changes, trying something new. Sometimes the large houses get so stuck in a rut its impossible to shake things up and try something new.

If you want to read the entire article, go here.

Thursday 13 - #2!

I'm a bookie, have been for years and figure I always will be. As such, there are piles of books waiting for me to read, to add into my database [I have a bad repuation for buying the same book over and over again, and always hope this will help - unfortunately it also allows the cutie to see a total number of books stashed throughout the house], to be stacked in the appropriate cases up in the attic for keeping or donating. Over the holidays and through the new year I judged two different contests [romance and young adult books] so haven't read much for myself. Now it's me time and I've started reading the ebook "Mi Lady's School for Girls" by Lady Midnight, but my TBR pile is still stacked high. Here are thirteen of the traditional books in my TBR pile...the ebook pile doesn't haunt me as much because I don't have to dust it.

1. Victorious Star by Morgan Hawke - read them each separately as ebooks and loved the series, but now want to read them together, straight through. If I remember correctly, they were intense.

2. Something Sinful by Suzanne Enoch - enjoy her historicals, a good fix.

3. Wolf at the Door by Christine Warren - her ebook series "Fixed" were fantastic, hope these have the same edge.

4. Kushiel's Scion by Jacqueline Carey - the first Kushiel trilogy was so fresh and full of lush details, I was compelled to step back into this world again.

5. Dark Celebrations by Christine Feehan - love the Carpathians.

6. Ricochet by Sandra Brown

7. Innocent in Death by JD Robb - Roarke and Eve are a favorite couple of mine. I usually devour these two when I first get them so it's odd to see this one waiting to be picked up...must be the mental place I'm in right now.

8. Shadow Dance by Julie Garwood

9. Taste of Innocence by Stephanie Laurens

10. For a Few Demons More by Kim Harrison - I'm always laughing during these books.

11. Chosen Prey by Cheyenne McCray

12. Just for Kicks by Susan Andersen

13. Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone by JK Rowling - if you tell me there is going to be a finite number of books in a series, I'll wait until the last one has been officially submitted to an editor before starting with book 1.

Hump Day Reflections!

Today is the first day of spring and, naturally, my mind turns to matters of the heart...love blooms, flourishes, fresh, sure and strong.

A soft pink delicately paints the many petals of the gerber daisy, growing darker and more pure as the color moves to the center...the heart. I see this flower, rising up much as the blush of love, lust, and romance tinges our bodies when were with the one who holds our heart so closet.

There was a refreshing chill to the air, but the sun was out and the sky was blue. She stripped off the sweater, jeans, thick socks and boots, everything until all she saw was bare flesh. Had she gained weight? Was that a bruise from walking into the table? Did she shave her legs this week? She turned to the side, oh man, did my butt grow bigger? Do I have a tummy? Then she stood up straight, pulled her shoulders back, sucked in her stomach and laid a hand over the slight curve and smiled at herself. She tossed her hair, put her hands on her hips and looked at herself straight on. Turning around she looked at herself from over her shoulder and laughed.

This is me and I look fabulous. Looking at her breasts, she thought of the recent mamogram, the harsh pinch they suffer and lifted the weight of one, gently held it in the palm of her hand. She stroked a thumb over the hardened tip. Hmmm, okay, she was frisky, no, be honest, horny, and felt desireable.

"Honey! Come up here...quick..."

Rise up, strip off and love yourself, enjoy yourself.

What a Monday...

The cutie is here for the week, yeah! He came home early from the office to watch the Man U v Boro FA cup replay and handled the loss very well. Ronaldo cheated again [cutie found a quote saying "...he touched me and so I fell..."], does this mean every time to guy is touched he's going to fall over and claim foul? I may be a Man U supported, but not of this type of play.

Unfortunately it was all too much for the lad and he was snoring within 10 minutes of '24' starting.

On the writing front, I've put "My Angel" to the side and am working on "Come Now". For some reason, despite everything going on, I can focus on this one so I'll stay with it until I finish it...should be next week sometime.

That'll teach me...

to come in to a movie late. I was flicking around, looking for something to watch to close my eyes to - catch a bit of nap time if I was lucky - but instead I landed on a flick I'd never seen before. "The Perfect Storm" was in it's last half hour and I stopped, long enough to ball my head off...what a tear jerker.

Will I go back and watch it from start to finish? Doubtful, because even though I know how it ends, I'll still be crying at the end.

What to do today...

besides shoveling the snow?

Me, I'm going to watch the irreverant Father Ted ["ya will, ya will, ya will, ya will!"] and The Quiet Man :-)

Enjoy the green!

Thursday 13 - the first!

The other day I saw a snip promoting the dvd release for the new Casino Royale and it had me thinking about all those leading men who, at some point in my lifetime, made my heart skip a beat, my breath catch in the back of my throat with an "oh my" hovering on my lips, or made me cry - the out loud, can't hold back the flood, kind. They are:

1. Cary Grant - To Catch a Thief - sigh, this man is the epitomee of a debonair gentleman, full of class, and even at a young age he made my heart beat faster.

2. David Craig - Casino Royale - I don't care that he's blond, he's rough around the edges, tough and sexy as heck.

3. Pierce Brosnan - Thomas Crown Affair - he was a good Bond, but I preferred him with a wicked side.

4. Colin Firth - Pride and Prejudice - oh man, the wet shirt scene says it all!

5. Denzel Washington - Glory - cried so hard when he is being whipped, the dignity and strength was right there, so was the determination to not be ground down.

6. Robert Redford - Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid - it was a tie between this one and the Rhinestone Cowboy, this one won out because he was bad without being evil :-)

7. Kevin Costner - Bull Durham - "I believe in long, slow, deep, soft, wet kisses that last three days." Need I say more?

8. Harrison Ford - Star Wars - Hans Solo was sexy and wild, a rascal really and he made my young heart go pitter-pat.

9. Doug McClure - Gidget [he was Waikiki] - HA, Moondoggie was cute but when Waikiki shared her blanket at the beach party, well, enough said. On a side note, there was only one Gidget and that was Sandra Dee!

10. Clark Gable - Gone with the Wind - its that good bad thing again, gets me every time, but he get's me every time his daughter dies. Oh, and this is the first flick I found myself entranced by the clothes.

11. Oded Fehr - The Mummy - wasn't sure whether to trust him and that kept my eyes focused on him, lovely way to spend some time.

12. Timothy Hutton - Ordinary People - he played the surviving son so perfectly, you want to stand up and shake the mom and tell her to wake up, her son needs her.

13. George Clooney [just because I think the older he gets the better looking he becomes and I love the recent Oceans 11 and 12, as well as Syriana]

Hump Day Reflections!

A lovers kiss is one of the most intimate moment they will experience, allowing the participants to feel both full of power and extremely vulnerable.

Moist lips barely touch, rub, press against each other, testing the resiliency of the full, silken folds. After the first tentative forays against the other, the lovers quickly become eager, anxious, pushing to be even closer, to be one. Heated breath escapes on a gasp, a moan, a pant, only to be caught, in the back of the throat, on a hitch of rapidly growing need. The taste of the other is there on the supple folds, teasing the tongue to stretch out for a sample from the fount.

Love, passion, desire, need, lust, your heart and soul, all and more are shared with a single kiss. Temptation to achieve even greater heights than ever before linger, all while ensuring the lovers are blind to everything but each other.

Hmmm, the kiss, delicious, usually starts and ends it all.

What a week!

Unfortunately life has thrown the cutie and I not one but two serious curve balls at the same time, and we're trying to work with them both at once. What this meant for me was not one word was written last week. Nothing.

This was a first because, no matter what is happening around me, I'm usually able to carve out some time to spend on the current WIP, but not one word was typed. This week I'll figure out how to work around the two large lumps of disarray that has settled around us and make some progress on "My Angel".

Our household remains at peace...

At least for the moment because Man U and Boro tied on Saturday. Okay, they'll have to play again to settle it out for a place in the FA cup semi-finals, but for now the cutie is pleased, relatively speaking. If asked he will vociferously disagree with the need for the hand ball penalty, for Ronaldo [of all players] to take and make the goal, if none of this had happened, then Boro would have won!

Meanwhile my Man U heart silently says: Get over it...we're going all the way!

Hump Day Reflections!

Where, oh where, have my imaginings gone? It's Wednesday, hump day, so let's talk about this!

An image speaks volumes and this one show one of man's most erotic places - leading right to his groin. This woman doesn't need to see everything, just a hint, and the muscle pointing down on either side is a natural path for a single finger to follow down...

Hmmm, I look a this picture and see a seduction scene...oh yes...I see it now. After having worked out, he's stripped and ready to shower. She comes in and doesn't stop moving forward until he's pressed up against a the tiled wall. Taking her fingers, she traces his collar bone, down over his pecs, circling, teasing, the nipples, before finally tracing the center line to his belly button. His breath catches in the back of his throat, he wants to close his eyes and just feel her silken softness float over his hard body, but he can't help it, he has to look down and watch her first fingers slide through his sweat into the muscle trail leading down...

Oh, yes, definitely a yummy pic.

Frostbitten!

Ahhh, I think I have frostbite!

Stupid me, went out to grab some sodas, hot chocolate and a few other provisions so I can enjoy my chat over on Love Romances and More cafe today and forgot to take my gloves. Why does it matter, its 12/F degrees out there!

Stupid, stupid, stupid!

Life has not been so kind the past couple of days so I'm hoping this cold blast will take all the bad karma away and leave us with some good.

De-li-cious!

The cutie outdid himself yesterday. I love watching the Oscars - okay, mainly for the fashion, rarely make it to the end of the show. Yesterday we went to run errands and hit a new shop in the mall, Dale and Thomas' Popcorn...yum! We brought back three - white chocolate and peanut butter, chocolate and caramel, and caramel - the first is my favorite. Chowing down on it for lunch...I'm sure its nurtrious :-)

So, now that the hoopla is finished, were there any movies I wished I'd seen and hadn't, yes, without a doubt. We seem to live in a dead zone for something that outside the blockbuster realm.

Because of the international feel, I did start to remember some of my old foriegn favorites and some of the smaller flicks. Have you seen any of these:

A Room with a View
Babette's Feast
Cat People [w/Simone Simon]
Gidget
My Beautiful Laundrette
My Left Foot
Red Shoes
Queen Margot
Trainspotting
Triplets of Belville
Just about everything from the Gong Li/Zhang Yimou relationship [Ju Dou, Raise the Red Lantern, The Story of Qui Ju - the latter is an absolute must see]

I've been tagged!

Oh boy, I've been tagged by the saucy erotic romance author, RaeLynn Blue, over on myspace, and thought I'd share the gory details over here as well. I’ve never done this before so let’s see how I do. Apparently I've got to tell you 10 things about myself and then tag another ten to do the same. So, here we go!

1. I love all the seasons but my favorite is summer…nice and toasty with the minimal amount of clothes required.

2. I’m a weeper - commercials, movies, books, and yes the news - if the cutie is nearby he whispers, “Humidity rising?” then takes hold of my hand.

3. I like white food junkie: Twinkies, mashed potatoes, corn, chicken, chips and chocolate [nope, not white but I like it no matter how it comes].

4. I was going to be a fashion designer, even went to school for it and then found out I couldn’t sew worth beans.

5. I like hats - big fabulous creations of artistic wonder - and baseball hats to keep the rain away instead of an umbrella.

6. I’m an organizational freak who sucks at cleaning house.

7. I grew up at the beach and still wear a bikini, having curves is nothing to be ashamed of.

8. According to the cutie and occasionally I agree, I sometimes dress like my mother and I know I sound like her at times too. It’s not so bad, she’s a pretty fabulous woman.

9. I just bought boys socks…they fit and were there.

10. I’m very lucky: I like where I’ve been and where I’m at, who I was and who I am, and I can’t wait to see what the future sends my way!

Okay, the next people I'd like to spill their guts are:

Kara Griffin Leigh Ellwood Louise Bohmer James Buchanan
Michelle McGriff Jude Mason Karen Erickson Michelle Pillow
Jaycee Clark Sherrill Quinn

Boots? Yup, today it's about boots!

Last monday we went away, a couple of different places were on the agenda and we decided to drive and enjoy the easy pace. First night, we had no hot water, second night the electricity was out for 16 hours before we decided to leave, third night was just right, only there was a fourth night because of road closures. We finally made it home a day later than we'd planned to a driveway covered in ice, 3 inches of the hard beast. Snowblower wouldn't do it, so we took a pic and shovels to it, even the 7 inch iceberg at the base and now, now I'm home and happy I took my boots with me.

Yup, I lived in these wonders all week - even out to dinner for Valentine's - and am eternally grateful for their rusted eyelets, salt stained, comfort.

Long live the boot that is big enough to wear two, and yes, at one point even three pairs of socks.

Dragon Lust by Tilly Greene is OUT!

That's right, Dragon Lust by Tilly Greene is now available at loveyoudivine

Blurb
Ryder Smythe and Taylor Andersen, homegrown boys now in the big city, want to start the weekend with a night of wicked indulgences.

Alice Jones comes in search of a way to release the tension of the week, only she finds so much more.

O'Reilly's is an average bar where people went to find their personal pleasures, no matter how odd or different they may sound and on one particular Friday night, a dragon reigns supreme.

Excerpt
It wouldn't have surprised anyone if they'd walked right out of a fashion advertisement in their faded t-shirts, well-worn button fly jeans, complete with holes and frayed edges, and sneakers. But she'd bet the house their normal clothing for work was suits, shirts and ties.

Without a doubt they'd look just as handsome in those fancier clothes as they did in these casual togs.

This bar was special, a place where no false promises were ever offered. She'd chosen to wear something that flagrantly showed the state of mind she was in. Tonight she was eager to please the right man, or men, and the condition of these twos cocks made it clear they'd come for more than a casual beer.

The discomfort in her knees and odd position of her arms refocused her attention on the man who held the key to her fulfillment. Her body hummed with excitement.

Yes, tonight would be a spectacular night.

Start your weekend right, head over to loveyoudivine and pick up a copy of Dragon Lust by Tilly Greene.

Flippin' Frigid!

Yes, I'm talking weather and it's bloody cold here - Google weather is telling me its 14/F - and yet I just hung up from my sister who is feeling chilled at 58/F! Grrr!

I'm not that upset over the Bears loss but am over the dull commercials. The lions on the Taco Bell were great, laughed on those, and also thought all the coke ads were pretty good. Really liked the one for Black History Month - simple and powerful [and unfortunately couldn't find it on the net to watch again]. I don't remember seeing a Bud with clydesdales in it [other than the dog getting spots].

Time for the good news..."Ride 'em" has been submitted and now I'm working on Taming Marie Antoinette. Not much of a surprise it takes place in Paris. Yes, I actually did research while I was there :-).

Oh my, the things you see...

The cutie and I recently took a trip. It was work but at the end we took a few days for ourselves and walked around the city. In this section [red light on one side of the street and tourist shops on the other] there is a pedestrian park to walk through down the center of a busy road so we chose that one instead of the bustling sidewalks. This souvenier shop had something more to offer than all the others...someone's panties drying on the top balcony!

And they weren't the sexy kind like you'd expect considering what was happening on the opposite side of the road, these were, well, shall we say, they offered the wearer plenty of coverage. It was a good laugh.

Confession time...I have a sick mind!

That's the only logical thing I can say about all this. You see, I'm sitting here, having finished my errands for the day and ready to get a coule thousand words written and hit the T.V. for something mindless as background noise and what do I tune in to...The Real Housewives of Orange County! Please, help me! These people are so far down the spectrum of interesting and yet here I am tuning in, my mouth hanging opened with disgust.

I know why I tune in when it's on, its personal, but I will say: this show, as well as one other show, make me feel a great deal of shame!

See, I have a sick mind. Who in their right mind tortures themselves in this way?

Okay, back to work on 'Come Now' :-)

Sunday, January 14, 2007

Yeah! I did it!

I finished writing Nazon! Okay, so I'll do my usual wait a few days, print it out and take the red pen to it before I submit it, but I have it finished. Another futuristic look at the sexes - I'm really liking these.

So what's up next on my laptop? Come Now. The first in the Come trilogy - oh yes, those sexy Ivanovich men are on the table!

Off for a couple pieces of shortbread and then the fingers will start tapping :-)

Have you ever heard of...

finishing off your chinese fortune cookie "fortunes" with the words "in bed"? I never had until the cutie mentioned it and claimed it always makes since, so we gave it a try, and I'm split.

1. If it ain't broke, don't fix it [in bed]. Okay, this one could work, but trying something new in bed is pretty fun as well.

2. Even a broken clock is right two times a day [in bed]. Nope, it flat out doesn't work for me.

Oh man, so hot!

And I don't mean the weather, although it is warmer than usual [Hola El Nino and oh heck, the grim reaper of weather, Global Warming as well]. No, I'm talking about the covers I've just received for both 'Dragon Lust' and 'The Leather Bride'!

They were both tricky to do in their own right but they are fan-flippin-tastic and you're going to need a fan to cool yourselves down and add a bucket of ice water when you read them...fair warning readers. For your viewing pleasure, and mine, I've put them up on the website, so head over and check them out :-)

Let it Out!

I'm sitting here writing [a hot - literally - futuristic] with the TV on...my noise choice today...and a commercial for Kleenex [tissues] comes on. I don't know how it started but after a moment it caught my attention and loved it! I believe the tagline was "One guy and a box of Kleenex". There's a guy, couch, table, chair and a box of kleenex out on a street...any street in any city [busy and quiet]...with various people telling their stories. Some were happy, others sad, and some there were no words for us but you could see how the person felt in whatever they were saying. Yup, I cried...weepy wonder...but I thought what an interesting concept, and done well in about 45 seconds. Can you imagine going up to this stranger and telling him how you met or lost your lover, the birth of your baby, and letting all the emotions flow with the tears...very unique.

There is a website to go with it.

A New Year and fabulous changes!

I'm one of those people who don't make resolutions...if it isn't working for me in March I sure as heck am not waiting until the next January to change it. That being said, I have made some changes and they are:-

1. Big one, changed my website! Christine Clavel created a fabulous reclining lady reading a scorching novel [one of mine I'm sure]. I adore this image and have done up a few items to showcase it. They'll be appearing on the Treats page of the website soon. This also means my blogs [blogger, myspace, yahoo 360] have had a facelift. Then there is the addition of an RSS feed, bookmark ability and 'Sneak Peeks Behind the Scenes'. The latter will be added for each release on it's anniversary...January 2006 saw the release of 'The Painted Lady' in the Winter Wishes anthology so a sneak peek is now up for this one.

2. I've started writing for an additional 2 publishing houses...Love You Divine and Phaze. Can't wait until my wicked tales start being released in 2007. Love You Divine will publish 'Dragon Lust' early 2007 and Phaze 'The Leather Bride' April 30 2007.

3. The Monthly Scorcher has had a face lift, sections added and some deleted. Personally I like the 'A Little Something from eBook Insiders'. You can sign up to receive a copy either through the yahoo or google groups [there is no chatting on either sites, they are strictly announcement and newsletters].

4. Chats and contests are both things I enjoy, the fun play time stuff but was struggling to keep up with it all. So, the first thing I did was set up a monthly chat with Love Romances and More over at their cafe. These will be the first Tuesday of each month...all day from 10:00-6:00pm est. Come over and enjoy yourselves, other authors will often drop by and drop and excerpt or more. Then on the contest front I'm going to be giving away a minimum of 2 Tilly Greene tote bags each month. One will be through my monthly chats at Love Romances and More, the other through the Monthly Scorcher newsletter so sign up now.

Oh, and I'm loving the blogs so will keep on keeping on with them...although I hope for more consistency!

For all these changes, the goal for me is to happily, gleefully really, delve in to my large To Be Written pile and make some progress there. You ask what's there that has me so excited? Loads! More shape-shifters [panthers, white tigers and more!], futuristics [sex roles around the universe call me] and some truly naughty contemporaries [ha, too many to tease but I'll just say sand, offices, restaurants, no place is off limits]! Oh and I can't forget the erotic classical mythology series either. See...I need to write :-)

I'm looking forward to it all and I hope you all are as well. My suggestion, head over and check out the changes made, put your name in the running for a Tilly Greene tote bag [these one's are the perfect size to hold a book, wallet, snack and a bottle of water - not so big they look like you could fit a blanket inside].

How easy it is to bring a smile to my face...

I'm finished and ready to enjoy the holiday season. Everything is wrapped and posted to various countries, cards sent out [albeit late] and this morning all I needed was two hostess gifts so off to the shops I went. The path takes me by this little house which always catches my eye and the reason is real simple: I smile, even laugh out loud each time I drive bye.

The house is tiny but they have a menagerie of pets who sit staring at the front door [rain or shine] - waiting for it to magically open and let them back inside.

Normally seeing a family pet on a porch isn't much to look at but two of these dogs are huge and all 4 sit together so some portion of their bodies is on the doormat! I kid you not...nothing makes them look away from the door, even if there is no car in the driveway, they are patiently, or depending how you view it, impatiently waiting to go back inside to heaven.

You have got to smile, one of these days I'll take a picture of these pitiful faces to share with everyone...share a smile.

Enjoy and hopefully find an easy smile :-)

A fantastic life for me...

because I have a mother who cooks fabulously and mails the offerings to her youngest child who is far from home - me :-) Yup, received a box full of toffee, fudge, peanut butter balls and macaroons. Oh yes, the holidays have officially arrived and my waistline is expanding!

The holidays are upon us!

Last night I was getting ready to take my first soaker in ages - the in-laws have been here for a month and as we live in a very old house [i.e. 1 bathroom]. It was a dream but would have been rude to hide in the tub for hours on end. Anyway, the water was running, bubbles bubbling and before I could step in I heard the fire truck horn blowing.

Now, let me explain...we live in a very small town with a volunteer fire department. When there is a problem a siren sounds calling them in before the truck is sent out. Our neighbor is one so we usually hear him leave but a horn without a call is unusual. So I went to the window and what a sight I saw!

Santa arriving in town via the old original truck [gas lanterns to light the way] and a bunch of volunteer behind him! It was a fabulous site and you could hear them going up and down all the streets...can you imagine being a little kid and seeing Santa waving from the fire truck? He'll be on Main Street today, and the school will let a class at a time walk in to town [about a block and a half] to have their chance to tell him what they really want for Christmas.

Yup, sometimes living in a small town is just plain old fun!

Okay, yesterday this survey was making the rounds so I thought I'd give it an answer - give it a go yourself :-)

1. Egg Nog or Hot Chocolate?
Hot Chocolate piled high with mini-marshmallows.

2. Does Santa wrap presents or just sit them under the tree?
Santa wraps everything...he loves to do this, but sometimes doesn't bother with the ribbon.

3. Colored lights on tree/house or white?
Colored lights on the tree and have bought white icicles for the house but in four years we have never remembered to put them up.

4. When do you put your decorations up?
Whenever...depends where we're spending the holidays.

5. What is your favorite holiday dish (excluding dessert)? Ham or
roast.
Don't like this questions, live for desserts! If I have to choose then it would be mashed potatos and gravy!

6. Favorite Holiday memory as a child:
Well, there are many but I would have to say it was thinking I heard Santa on the roof and my older sister telling me to go out to the living room and check. I found my dad and uncle putting together a Barbie Doll House and was so excited my sister was getting just what she wanted I went back and told her it was just Dad and Uncle Jimmy talking, no Santa. The next morning there was a note from Santa saying he couldn't finish the doll house and tricycle but our Dad would act in his stead. Hmmm, nope, I didn't catch on until a few years later.

7. Do you open a gift on Christmas Eve?
Nope, all on the day.

8. How do you decorate your Christmas Tree?
Lights first then the ornaments.

9. Snow! Love it or Dread it?
Love it if I don't have to go anywhere...shoveling and blowing are both diabolic necessities - if we have to do it :-).

10. What is your favorite holiday dessert?
My mom' english toffee and peanut butter balls!

11. When was the last time you went sledding?

12. What is your favorite holiday tradition?
Seeing family and friends.

13. Which do you prefer giving or receiving?
No question - giving!

14. What is your favorite Christmas Song?
"Santa Baby" by Eartha Kitt! Love to tease the cutie with the chorus.

15. Favorite Christmas movie now?
"Holiday Inn", "White Christmas" and "National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation" - every year, no matter where we are in the world.

16. Favorite Christmas movie of childhood?
Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer and Frosty the Snowman

Enjoy Everyone!

Recently...

I hosted a contest, Where in the World... asked where would the entrant want to go if time and money were not an issue. There were so many wonderful answers, and spread across the planet, even Mars! But it came to my mind that there is one thing time and money can't do and that is to make some things stay the same, not change or move on with time.

Now, if it were possible, if I could go back and see any one place, well I couldn't answer that one either. But of all the places in the world I'd like to see, there is definitely one thing that stands out in my head as one to have seen in it's original place - the Nike of Samothrace.

The original wet t-shirt look only in marble! She's stunning, huge, impressive and intimidating and used to sit high on the cliffs of Samothrace, protecting it from all invaders from the sea. What an incredible sight that would have been. Luck will have it that anyone can see her, in a museum. So, I'll go into the Louvre and hunt her out in a seldomly used stairwell, sit there and enjoy the view from a marble step...maybe some day you'll see me there.

Run for your life!

A combustion scientist is at the turkey fryer!

Yup, the cutie is an R&D man [research and development] and he loves to push the limits of the set in stone directions just to see what happens. There we were out in the rain frying up the turkey...ever hear water and oil don't mix? What about water and boiling oil? The sizzling sounds were fabulous and the turkey was even better.

Can't wait to see what he does for Christmas!

A sexy bit of rough!

Oh yes, we packed up the in-laws and went to see Casino Royale this weekend...this Bond is spot on! What 00 agent isn't going to have a brutal, ruthless, side to go with his handsome and refined appeareance? Nope, my idea of James Bond is just like this one, fighting, killing, pulling out secrets and confident in his ability to do it well.

So, hear hear for Daniel Craig!

Muttering, whistling, singing...

without a care for those sitting beside you is absolutely annoying! Can be bloody rude in fact if everyone else is trying to talk. So, please, keep it to yourself, some of us don't want to listen.

As for the muttering, enunciate!

Okay, phrew, rant over...the day is sunny, gorgeous in fact and I have loads of work to get on with that I'm excited about :-)

Is curling a sexy sport?

Curling, a winter team sport [men and women both] where they slide granite stones down an iced lane, making points when their stones stop as close to the centerpoint as possible. It's all about precision and very graceful when they slide down the ice. Now there is a new side to female curlers not many have seen before, but you can see it in their calendar for 2007.

WOW! Yes, absolutely! Curlers are sexy!

Go to The Curling News and buy their calendar, it supports these everyday womem and their sporting endeavour.

It's Friday and this one...

is a Ladies Lunch day. Yup, once a month a group of us drop everything and get together to just natter at a random local restaurant. They hate us, we take our time to order, eat and leave...they definitely hate us.

This one snuck up on me. Usually I schedule my writing so I'm at a good stopping point but that didn't happen this time. I'm right in the middle of Alaska [loving where the plots going] and will have a difficult time stepping away...but I will and I'll enjoy it!

On a sad note, a fly got in the house this morning and I gave him the spray. Now he's dying a violent and prolonged death on the windowledge...oh man, the guilt is immense.

Wednesday, November 08, 2006

Every knows I love pop-ups!

But did you know that there was a group who sued a publisher over a pop-up?

Yup, they sure did. The group blamed the publisher for snaping their partners spines when trying to duplicate a particular pop-up...with a mis-fold. Oops! The bad side is there were deaths, and I'm sorry, but the lead lawyer is quoted for saying: ...some of the positions are "just sick and wrong" and that "You'd have to be a friggin' yoga master, to be able to do what's on page 85!" and all I can do is laugh!

Well, needless to say the group lost but this still cracks me up...what are you people doing?

DONE!

The annual breast squishing is finally over! For me this is a really difficult time, the insecurities rage once the appointment is made. I've been through the scares enough times to make me grit my teeth when it comes to the mamogram. Add in my superstitious mind [original appointment was the day after the cutie was hit in the head with the baseball] and I was way stressed.

Thankfully, all is good...the film will be sent to a second screener to check out an enhanced digitized picture but the ta-ta's look to have gained a gold star this year.

All year round is a good time to have the lovelies checked over...so get to it!

Yippee!

I have some left over Halloween candy, the sun is shining, there is just a few things left on the "have to" list and I'm getting the final touches on the plot for my Alaska tale of love in the Arctic Circle! Yeah! I'm so very excited, there is less than a week remaining of political pollsters phoning and advertisements bombarding me on so many different levels, my victories are simple.

No so bad afterall, well...

the cutie hasn't forgotten about the trees, he keeps mentioning how his stick pile was shredded and how can he build a fire for Guy Fawkes day without his starters. I've promised to go and find him some more sticks and he'll go out and buy some wood [that won't smoke] and we'll have a rager!

In the end, it's a good thing he was here because I actually forgot about the original reason I was calling the tree man - work on the big maples out front! Ooops, I wanted the other two gone I forgot about the three beauties. Tree man and gang are coming back and will take care of those, thank you cutie :-)

Uh Oh, there's been a spanner thrown into my wicked plan!

Okay, we are easy going folk, not indecisive but it can take us ages to make a decision [remember the couch?].

Anyway, the cutie has been away on a trip and I've been dashing around trying to get some projects done [plumber for the bathroom sink, furnace serviced, etc] before his parents come for a month [gasp!]. Yesterday the man came to check out and give me a quote to have a few trees taken down. All was good, he said end of the month and he'd even have his guys chip up all the logs from the previous trees - NICE! Perfect for me, no need to stress about the cutie, his injured eye and an ax!

Everything was good until this afternoon. The cutie phoned from the plane, he's landed, lovely! I hung up from him and the phone rang again - tree man's gang is coming over this afternoon to take down the trees!

Uh oh, wanted it done while a certain someone was away on a trip then I could present him with a done deal. Oh man, off to buy milk for tea to help ease the way of his trees and manky wood pile going away.

YES! YES! YES!

Cracker is back! Robbie Coltrane is fabulous and sexy as the screwed up Cracker. I can't wait until the 30th to catch up with the character...oh yes!

I'm normally a patient person...

very patient, but I'll tell you all these political phone calls are driving me up the wall!

I finally have time to write and the phone is ringing incessantly with somebody wanting me to answer their questions about where I stand on various issues. The wording of these questions is ridiculous as are the people who are making the calls. Yes, I have just bulked all the polsters into one group because of annoying beasts because of the last man who phoned. So what was wrong with his approach...he was eating his lunch while speaking with me. You bet, he picked the wrong number to dial doing that...rude man!

Grrr!

Okay, I've vented and now the phone will go directly to the answering machine, bypassing the human :-)

Oh for crap sake!

Early I went on this rant about the November issue of Elle posting the winner of Project Runway...I was angry, disappointed and so very wrong!

Yes, I know, how unusual for someone to admit they'd made a mistake but I am.

Even though I knew the outcome I still taped the show to see what the others had to offer...and then I was shocked to see it was Jeffrey who won and not Uli [spelling ?]!

Now I'm on to Top Chef and am not so sure it will be as good as the first season. As with many reality shows [and why I don't watch any other than PR and now TC] is that they attrack the "I want to be famous for whatever reason" type of person. No thank you.

Such fun!

Every two months another author and I meet up for lunch and chatter. Okay so it's more talking than anything else, but the hot chocolate is great [they have whipped cream and drizzled chocolate on top] so all is good.

Anyway, we got together earlier this week and, as usual, I truly enjoyed myself. JJ Massa is an incredible woman who also happens to write great erotic romances [love her Barback]. We feel free to talk about work if we want to. She has me thinking about trying a new avenue...hmmm, maybe.

Yup, it was a fun day...despite the rain :-)

What a day!

It was a perfect fall day...there was not a cloud in the sky but there was a chill that required a wooly jumper to be pulled from the rear of the closet. So, where did I spend this wonderful day? With a good friend trolling through a book fair, then we stood in line for almost two hours for a paper engineer to sign my book. Had the obligatory chit-chat and found out he, he and his partner, their imprint have a load of pop-ups coming down the line. By the time I got home the cutie had a mug of hot chocolate with a covering of mini-marshmallows...yummy!

Oh, what a day!

Oh Bugger!

I love Project Runway, it and Top Chef are the only two reality shows on that I'll watch. Today I was at the shops and saw the latest [November] Elle. I purchased, got home and after a few phone calls started to flip through...then the true pisser happened. Next Wendnesday, not the one that just passed, is when the winner is announced - except for in Elle!

Grrr, do they not know timing is everything?!?

So very disappointed :-(

WOW! What a flick!

For the first time in months the cutie and I went to the movies. Until now there hasn't been all that much of interest come out, and if it sounded like we might like it, it wasn't available out our way. So, what did we see: The Departed. It was fantastic! I'm not a fan of "stars", you know when you see the person and not the character because they are overexposed, well, in this flick there was not a single moment where I had a flash of realiy, it was all character...nice job :-) And, as a side note, may I say DiCapprio finally looks like an adult and not a pretty boy kid.

We saw ads for Stranger than Fiction, 300 [apparently from a graphic novel but looked different] and Casino Royale [the latter opens a couple of days after the in-laws arrive...yup, were still going, can't wait to see this one. I like the idea of this new James Bond.

Life is getting a bit of a routine again...finished off the October Monthly Scorcher and got it out, love the wicked flaming short 'Taming Marie Antoinette', may just end up expanding on this one :-)

Back from a break!

Oh, that was so what we needed...a break away from work, computers, mobiles, everything that screams "HAVE TO!"

We took the last of my sister's kids abroad, our nephew was on the block this time and have to admit at times he was much more of a trial that the three girlies who went before. The weather was shockingly wonderful, t-shirt time, and only one day of rain - what a shocker! Had firm words for my father-in-law, looking at the positive is much more fulfilling than dismissing an idea out of hand...if we'd gone his way he never would have known how beautifully his son bbq's a leg of lamb. I also came back with a suitcase full of my favorites, should keep me going until the in-laws come over next month [for a month - ahhhhh!]

The joy of our trip was only slightly diminished when I picked up all our post this afternoon and found the painting I'd bought for my birthday had arrived damaged. The artist responded with confidence he can fix it and I'll hold that belief close.

Today is beautiful and I'm back from a break, ready to delve in to work :-)
